Ahmed Alrayes

Ahmed Al-Rayes serves as the Chairman of BAGS Capital, a CBB licensed Category 4 Fund Management company. He is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in financial institutions, private equity, and corporate strategy.

His career in finance includes key leadership positions such as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ibdar Bank and Vice President of Private Equity at PineBridge Investments Middle East. He also served as an Investment Manager at Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, where he was involved in deal sourcing, negotiation, and monitoring the performance of portfolio companies.

Ahmed has a proven track record in strategy formulation, having led the strategic exercises for major entities including Mumtalakat and Ibdar Bank. He has successfully led efforts to raise significant capital, including USD 1 billion from a network of international banks. His expertise also extends to new financial technologies, as he actively works with GCC clients to explore asset tokenization and cryptocurrencies.

In addition to his role at BAGS Capital, Ahmed is the founder and Managing Director of Zeyadah Consultancy and serves as a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Bahrain Stock Exchange. He has also held leadership roles managing relationships with key regulators, including the Central Bank of Bahrain.

Ahmed holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bahrain.
